I love the earthy-ness of this photo! The greens and browns, remind me of the coming spring. And the contrast between the light and dark is a nice balance. Her eyes seem to glow in this light.

But what I like most of all about this is the shadows, they are soft and add a warmth to the picture because of the color. And her expression is very thoughtful and also very guarded, again the contrast between them makes an interesting result.

All in all, I really like this photo, the only thing that bugs me, it that thin black line that runs across it, I find it is very distracting.
